WELCOME TO MY PAGE 

My name is Sumayya, I am an Algerian-Nigerian amateur calligraphy artist based in the UK. I am a full time optometrist with a huge passion for Arabic calligraphy, abstract art and Islamic art. I created my first piece at the age of 8/9 years old and one blessing of lockdown 2020 allowed me to revisit my passion, create more and begin selling my pieces. 

I love calligraphy particularly Islamic pieces as I use it as a way to get closer to my deen through the remembrance of Allah as I am painting/scribing. I love the way I can connect to my deen within such a creative outlet. I continue to learn and develop my skills and would love for you to be part of my journey.

Every piece I create with Islamic meaning is made with an Amanah (a trust) that the piece will not be placed in any non-Islamic area or used inappropriately. The intention should always be pure insha'Allah.
